I created this website to be everything I wish I had when I applied to MLS programs.

I remember working as a researcher; content, but unfulfilled. I was spending hours every day scouring the internet for answers - trying to figure out what to do with my life. Luckily, I stumbled across medical lab science - a field that appeared to be everything I was looking for. Science with meaning, impact, and purpose.

After that, things became more confusing. There was no central source of information. I found all the abbreviations difficult and was overwhelmed with conflicting advice and direction. It was frustrating, to say the least.

I hope to help you navigate these waters. I want to fill that space and be a central place for you to find all the information you need. I hope to jump-start your journey towards a successful career in medical laboratory science.

My name is Abby. I love sushi, science, and sunshine. I currently work as a specialist in a transplant lab and as a generalist in a large hospital lab. I love knowing the work I do has a significant impact on the lives of those in my community.
